Users could also play a selection of flash games for the Park's currency - Park Points. Some of these games were versions of Neopets games, whilst some of the Park's games were eventually ported to Neopets in new forms.

Achievements were also added that awarded badges for specific activities, such as harvesting so many berries from bushes in the Park. Although the majority of Petpet Park consisted of solitary play, eventually more options promoting a community were added. Staff controlled characters, known as experts, hosted weekly gatherings of players on Fridays - often awarding exclusive items for attendence. The Wishing Well was also added, a feature that allowed users to spend tokens for clothing items - the twist being that the more players that were present, the better the rewards for everyone involved.

In the original beta version of the Park, many of the activities and games were in fact hosted by Neopet characters rather than Petpet versions.
This appears to have been the original version of the Park advertised in the Operation: Petpet Park mini-plot. This was apparently revised during beta into the more familiar Petpet-centric Park that reached general release. For those musically inclined, Hifflos are ideal Petpets. It is said that a good song can lure in any Hifflos! Kassegat Kassegats are very intelligent and clever. Originating from the lush jungle areas of Neopia, they also like to spend most of their time relaxing and eating different kinds of jungle fruit.
Be careful though! Oukin Though Oukins are usually tranquil creatures, they can be very quick if the occasion calls for it and emit a high-pitched shriek when agitated. Pinixy Despite their small size, Pinixys are active and athletic. These noisy rambunctious Petpets are almost always engaged in some physical activity, whether it is running, jumping, wrestling, or climbing.

From the help page: Enter the lobby of the game you want to play by double-clicking. If you want to play single-player, step on one of the lone circles. A countdown will start, and you will be transported to the game. If you want to play multi-player, step on one of the circles that are clustered in groups of four.
When another Petpet steps into the same cluster, the countdown will start. If you want to play with friends, organise it so that you all step in the same cluster. Another building is the mystery house, you can see it in the picture below.

Areas contained characters and activities that will allow you to earn Park Points, the in-game currency, and experience points. Levelling up was achieved by gathering experience points which can be gained by completing quests, playing games and finding them as you walk around.
In most cases XP was proportional to the involvement of the activity and, where possible, if you do well at a game. For example, a higher score can award more XP than a lower one and simply eating a piece of food will only give you a single experience point. Levelling up rewarded you with new medals and badges and access to new jobs and items. You can see the progress of your current level at the top of the screen in the large green bar and your current level in the paw print.
Park Points PP can be earned in a multitude of ways and then can be used to purchase items for your Petpet. It was the first number on the left in the userbar. The number to the right of this was the amount of NickCash NC you have. Quests and jobs can be found by talking to various Petpet Park characters in each area. Some quests were one off but many contained multiple parts which will award you after each step completed. Quest objectives varied from character to character and included anything from speaking to another Petpet to collecting items and playing games.
Most quests rewarded you with items and some Park Points. The Petpet Park NC Mall was a shop that used to sell a variety of items including access to new areas, morphing potions and cosmetic items. There were some characters and places that were only accessible through items purchased here as well as some stalls that were only available in certain seasons or holidays.
